What ServiceNow and Google Cloud announced
ServiceNow and Google Cloud announced on 27 October 2026 an expanded partnership that connects ServiceNow's industry workflows to Gemini Enterprise, Google's AI assistant for companies, for the first time. Gemini Enterprise becomes the front end. ServiceNow keeps the workflow logic, records and governance.
The link runs through ServiceNow Action Fabric, which exposes ServiceNow workflows headlessly to Gemini Enterprise through Model Context Protocol servers and Agent2Agent connectivity. ServiceNow will publish the connectors as plugins, with demos and reference architectures, in Google Cloud Marketplace.
Which workflows are covered
Four areas are live for mutual customers now. In retail, store staff can report and diagnose equipment and system failures from Gemini Enterprise through ServiceNow Retail Operations, and a Field Service Management link can alert and dispatch technicians for on-site repairs. In CRM, sellers can ask for account context and recent deal activity, update opportunity notes and build quotes in natural language, while product managers can create offers, bundles and rules. In IT, the ITSM, ITOM and CMDB integrations let helpdesk staff triage incidents and assess change risk, and site reliability engineers investigate alert storms and trace configuration dependencies.
Telecommunications comes later. Integrations with ServiceNow Telecommunications Service Management and Context Engine for Telecommunications, aimed at case triage, classification and routing of account, technical and billing inquiries, are expected to be generally available in early 2027.
ServiceNow senior vice president John Aisien says "conversational AI is only as useful as the action it drives". Google Cloud vice president Satish Thomas says the goal is to turn AI potential into business value.
What changed for enterprise automation
Large companies increasingly run more than one AI assistant, and the question is which one employees use and which system does the work. This deal splits the roles: Google supplies the chat interface and model reasoning, ServiceNow supplies the process and the system of record. Using MCP and A2A rather than a custom connector matters, because the same ServiceNow endpoints can in principle serve other assistants too. ServiceNow says it runs more than 100 billion workflows a year on its platform.
The release does not give prices, say whether customers need extra ServiceNow or Gemini licences, or name any customer using the integrations. ServiceNow's own published results for its AI agents come from internal use, such as its Thrive IT support figures.
What to watch next
Watch for the Marketplace listings and pricing, named customer deployments, and the telecom integrations in early 2027. The companies say more integrations are expected soon. More enterprise workflow news is under AI Automation.
