What Cursor is used for
Cursor's documentation describes agents that edit code, run commands and open pull requests. Local agents work on the developer's own machine. Cloud agents clone repositories, install dependencies, run tests, use a browser or desktop and work while the laptop is offline, billed against the plan's usage at the selected model's rate. Cursor also sells Bugbot code review and, from September 2026, Security Review and Rollouts for Teams and Enterprise plans. The timeline below lists every story on this site that names Cursor.
